HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) The petite, slender girl ran a pale, shaking hand through her long, white blonde hair. There was no particular reason as to why she was trembling- she usually did a lot of weid things. Considering the fact that she had just been bouncy and happy, a moment before, it was a little odd that she was suddenly so nervous. It could not be blamed on her, though- just on the fact that she was bi-polar. Her mood shifts scared a lot of people- mainly those who knew nothing of her condtion. The only person who was actually used to her mood changes, was her psychiatrist. Even her parents were sometimes startled by her behaviour. Not that she cared. The more they did't understand her, the happier she was. They always tried to work her out, tried to undrstand, but they just couldn't fathom the idea that she really was an odd, peculiar girl, even though her parents were completely normal. She loved being the oddball of the family.
Now, she looked up in surprise. She's been standing in the middle of the town square, as people barged past her, not noticing a thing of her surroundings. She hadn't even realized where she was, hadn't remembered she was standing in the busiest part of town and day dreaming. This was the sort of thing she did on a daily basis. It was odd, peculiar and just plain abnormal, but she didn't really care, no matter how insecure she was about the way she looked,or how people talked about her behind her back. Realizing she was starting to drift back into the dreamscape, she quickly blinked a few times, as people walked past her, a few giving her the odd look every now and again, before she started walking onwards.
Quean's Library was the best bookstore she had ever had the good fortune to stumble upon. It was hidden away, and she had found it quite by mistake. It had been raning- as it did in Britain- and she had darted down an alleyway in the hope of finding some little tea shop to settle down in until the rain stopped. Instead, she had found her way to the bookstore, with it's beautiful antique books, and comfortable chairs. The old woman who owned it was adorable. All in all, it sort of reminded her of one of the stores out of the Harry Poter books. It had the same warm , homely feel about it, and now she visited it whenever she had the chance. It was good value too, and she really had to save her pennies. Maybe it made her a little bit of a nerd, or a geek, but reading was one of her favourite past times. And, at least, when she read a book, she appeared smart, when she actually wasn't.
She made her way down the familiar looking alleyway, and headed straight down the end. She guessed a few people knew it was there, but there weren't many people who liked to read nowadays. Especially not the old vintage books, she so loved to settle down with. Talia preffered Pride and Prejudice to Glamour magazine any day! Which, as you can understand, she rarely liked to admit. Now, she pushed the door of the bookstore open and stepped inside, smiling at the old lady. Okay, she rarely spoke to her- mostly because Talia was just to shy- but they had an understanding. She smiled again and pulled a random book of the shelf, before sitting in the seat by the corner and flicking the cover over. Noody knew she came here, and that suited her just fine.

Check yes Juliet, are you with me? Rain is falling down on the sidewalk I'm done with that asshole. Benji was walking around aimlessly in town square, trying to clear his head of today's fiasco with Gerry. Once again, Gerry had called him a pussy because instead of practicing basketball he decided that he was going to read a bit of the book that he took out of the library. "Real guys" don't read, that's a chick thing, they depend on the strength, were Gerry's exact words. Benji grabbed his jacket and stormed out of the house, making sure he slammed the door extra hard. He could hear Gerry screaming about how Benji was a unappreciative little shit as he turned around the corner towards downtown. The town square seemed to be extra busy and it was almost impossible to get through the large crowds. He quickly ducked into a small alleyway to avoid all the bodies. Hmmmm, now would be a good time to explore. If I get lost I at least won't have to go home for a while. He followed the alleyway all the way to the end, looking around all the while to be sure that no dirt bags were waiting to jump him. When he got to the end, he noticed that there was a door that read "Quean's Library." on the door with a neon OPEN sign right underneath it. He gripped the handle and with one glance over his shoulder opened the door and walked inside. The first thing that greeted in was the chime alerting the other customers and the old lady at the front desk that he had arrived. Book shelves were surrounding him, and as he looked around the old lady greeted him. " Do you need anything dear?" she asked with a soft cheery voice. " N...N..No." he barley managed to squeak out. He was shy and even speaking to a nice old lady kinda terrified him. She nodded, and he began to explore. There were books of every shape and size, on total different subjects. There was cooking, mysteries, fantasy. The shelves towered over him and he wasn't really watching where he was going. Woah Before he knew it, his foot had caught on something and he stumbled forward only being stopped by a book cart. Books rained over him, only the large novels landing on his head and when he opened his eyes he saw a cute girl in the corner. His face began to flush when he realized that he had only landed feet away from her, which meant that she most likely saw it. At least I didn't land on her.Lyrics: Check yes Juliet-We the Kings Clothes: This is what the dude is wearingNotes: ... Tagged: Talia :]

HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) Talia cocked her head to the side, as she ran a slender finger down the spine of the jaded, well-kept book in her lap. She didn't know if she wanted to read today. The day hadn't started out well, and she had a feeling that it wasn't going to end on a high note. If a day started out bad, there was a large possibility it would end bad, too. That was just the way things worked out. It was...divien intervention. Whatever. The day would be continuously bad if it had started off that way. Well...this was her pessimistic way of thinking, anyway. She wasn't usually pessimistic, and blue...just today, because in the morning she had had an appointment, with her psychiatrist, and her psychiatrist, despite what others' said, was not very sensitive at all. And weren't they supposed to be nice, kind and sensitive? Not blunt and sarcastic, as hers' usually was.
She decided not to dwell too much, on what had been said, until later, and instead decided to glance around at her familiar surroundings. The place was cosy, and warm, and gave off a nice, homey feel. Basically, whoever you were, it usually made you feel comfortable, and at home. And that's why she liked it. Her apartment didn't feel homey yet. She'd only just moved in, and it still had that new, plastic feel to it. It wasn't her favorite place to be. Perhaps Quean's Library, where she was now, was. Which was weird. Most people didn't say 'I feel at home when I am in a library'. People would think they were weird, she supposed. But she didn't know anybody to call her weird, so she was fine. Or...she knew a few people, and had a few friends, but they didn't know everything about her, which was good.
She looked up in surprise, as the door opened again, a small doorbell ringing as it did so. Of all the times she'd come here, she'd never actually seen many people inside- just the odd elderly customers every now and again. She watched as a slender boy, of about her own age, walked in, and smiled at the elderly lady. She cocked her head to the side, as she watched the boy walk down a few aisles, and draped her finger along the spines, as Talia herself had done a few times upon her visits to the library. The elderly lady smiled as the girl walked past her. She didn't have many customers, Talia could tell, and she seemed to like people. The quieter ones, anyway.
She quickly looked back down at the book in her lap, and then back up as the she saw the boy's foot was caught on something, and he stumbled forward, books flying everywhere, some landing on him. Her eyes widened a little, and she tried not to giggle, because she knew that if it had happened to her she would probably die of embarassment. Seriously. She chewed on her bottom lip softly, before glancing at him. She didn't exactly have amazing social skills, self-esteem or confidence, but she knew that somtimes you just had to get over that. 'Um. Are you, uh, alright?' she stood up quickly, forgetting the book, and it tumbled to the floor. She hurriedly bent down to pick it up, her cheeks flushing.

Check yes Juliet, are you with me? Rain is falling down on the sidewalk Benji had actually had a pretty normal morning today. When he woke up this morning, it wasn't because if his step-dad's screaming or his mother's crying. He got dressed in the new clothes that his sister bought him for his birthday and then walked down the stairs to the kitchen to eat some breakfast. No one made any remarks on his arrival and for a while he was skeptical, perhaps he was in the wrong house. Then suddenly James deiced to blurt out about what he had done with his girlfriend Jessica, and it all went down hill from there. Gerry's large smile almost took up his entire face and then started boasting about how proud he was of his little player. Benji never heard that from him, and personally never wanted to. Gerry had been a bad influence on Jame's life and now, it definitely showed. Gerry then turned towards Benji and the smile turned into a sour frown. " At least one of our sons isn't a faggot."[/i] Benji was sick of Gerry calling him a fag or a pussy. He had to constantly excel at sports, giving him a awesome body but costing him so much more. He had no time for friends with his constant working out and the verbal abuse from his step-dad caused him to isolate himself. No one else needed to know about his problems. As for the fag thing, the only reason Gerry called him one is because he wasn't out like James collecting girl-friends. Not that Benji wasn't interested in girls, he just hasn't found the right one and until he did, he didn't want to break a heart or get his heart broken. Now here he was, on his butt with books all over the ground in front of a girl. His face was almost burning from how it red and hot it had gotten. She did see, and when she asked if he was OK he slowly got up and brushed off. " O..Oh yeah I'm fi...fine." The words were slurred because of his stuttering sentences mixed with his Australian accent. He wondered if the girl could actually understand a word of what he was actually saying. If not, he would just sound like some bumbling idiot that didn't how to speak. " I'm re..really abo..about that. I hop...hope I didn't disru..disrupt you too mu...much." The words kept coming out but weren't getting any clearer but finally he managed to spit out. " Hi, I'm Benji. What's your name?" He hoped he wasn't being so intrusive. HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) Talia didn't really have much experience with guys, so it wasn't like she could tell what he was thinking or whatever. Maybe he was thinking he'd hoped she'd kept out of it. Hell. Maybe she really shouldn't have said anything. It was best for her to keep her mouth shut. Like she usually did. Yeah. That was best for everyone. She sighed as she watched him, her book hanging in her hands where she'd hurried to pick it up, her cheeks flushing red. She didn't do talking, and her social skills weren't even there. That was how bad they were. She was just too shy to talk to people usually. They always had to make the first move, or she'd be to shy and end up making the person feel like she didn't want them there, though it wasn't like that at all. Hell, Talia wanted anything but that.
She knew her mother was sort of disapointed in her- because she never made friends, and she wasn't as confident as her. But she couldn't change herself. It was her, and no matter how many times she had tried to change, so that she wasn't so darn shy, it still didn't work. She was still just the shy, awkward girl she'd always been. Ah well. Her mother would have to deal with that. She couldn't have the perfect daughter. Nobody was perfect. Well, at least Talia hopes nobody was. Because whoever there was out there, her mother would want her to be the best. And Talia could never be the best. She just didn't have the right amount of confidence or self-esteem. Sure, she wished she did. But did anything really amount from confidence anyway? Some, maybe.
She turned her attenion back down to the boy on the floor, as he started to speak. Or rather stutter. She cocked her head to the side in amusement, struggling to understand his stammering. She could hear the strong Australian accent there, and she smiled, realizing he must be one of the students that came here from all over the world. She tried to understand what he was saying as he was stuttering the words out. They weren't very clear words. The last sentence was clear at least, and she was thankful for that. 'Benji.' she nodded then blushed. 'Your name. Not mine...' she stopped in confusement, then blushed again. 'I mean. I'm Talia.' she offered him her hand to shake.

Check yes Juliet, are you with me? Rain is falling down on the sidewalk God, what he wouldn't do for some confidence. To be able to walk down a street and feel like he was important. Back in Melbourne he was basically the big man on campus, a real party animal but now he was the scary new kid from Australia. He wasn't mean or rude or anything of the sort. He was a hopeless romantic who would help anyone if they needed it. No one really took the chance to find out though, and it sucked to know that people would never really figure him out. Maybe he should move back with his dad. His dad had moved from Australia to Canada when Benji was in middle school and Benji was sure that his dad wouldn't want him to move in. He would make up stupid excuses like your brother and sister need you or you can't do that to your mom. Why couldn't he do that to his mom? She had done an awful thing to Benji, bringing Gerry into the household and ruining his self-esteem. As for siblings, the only one that really needed him now was Sam. Gerry had been degrading her lately and Benji was her guardian since mom never really did anything about it. Benji would often tell his sister that Gerry is an asshole and she should never listen to him. His attention reverted back to the girl. He figured that she couldn't understand him from the head cocked and when she smiled, he assumed that she was making fun of him for stuttering. He could notice her blushing a bit and when she offered her hand to shake, he was a little hesitant but eventually shook her hand. " Ni..nice to meet you Talia. So, do you come to this store often?" He was trying to make a bit of small talk, to help lighten the mood after the incident that had only happened a few moments before. HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) Talia wished her mother could see her now. Her mother wanted confidence from her? Well, here she was, in a bookstore, talking to a complete stranger. Was that enough for her? She hoped so. She couldn't see herself being more confident, really. She tried to smile at the boy again, but she wasn't sure if it looked scared, stupid or nervous. Hell. She decided not to smile, and the smile dropped from her face. What if that appeared rude? Aww damn. She ran a hand through her blonde locks worriedly, before letting her hand drop again. She knew that running your hand through your hair was a sign of nervousness, and she didn't want to appear shy, nor nervous. So she let her hands drop to her side anxiously.
She glanced up as the boy spoke and let herself smile. He seemed as nervous as he was, what with the stuttering and everything. 'You too. Yeah, I do. I like it.' she said quietly, her voice almost inaudible. She realized she would probably have to speak up next time. 'Do you go to Rosewood High?' she kept her voice a little higher this time, trying to make sure he heard, and smiling a little at him. He looked like he was about her age, so she guessed he would be going to her high school too. If he didn't then... at least she'd asked. If he did, maybe that would mean she'd gained a friend. So that would mean she had...one friend. Oh, joy. Back home in Wales, she had actually been pretty popular, even though she'd been as shy as ever. It was weird. She had basically no friends here.
She might have to pay people to be her friends soon, she smiled wryly at this thought. She could pay them to come for dinner at her house, so that her mother thought she had friends. Thought that people liked her. There was no reason for people not to like her- she wasn't mean, or intimidating and she was rarely bitchy. She was just too shy for people to take notice of her. Maybe if she had some confidence, and she was louder, she'd actually have friends. But, whatever. All she knew wa sthat she really didn't have friends right now. She was just...there. The pale, slim, shy girl sitting in the corner of every room, not interacting with anybody. Maybe if people spoke to her first, she'd talk back. Hell, of course she would! People just had to be nice and make the first move.

Check yes Juliet, are you with me? Rain is falling down on the sidewalk Benji was proud of himself at the moment. Besides some little mistakes he made, he was actually making conversation with someone without scaring them off or making them feel like he didn't want them around him. He wasn't anti-social at all, in fact he would love to hang out with friends. Problem was he didn't really have any. When she smiled at him and told him that she liked the store, he gave a cute little smile that was almost puppy-dog like. " Cool. It seems nice and quiet around here. Must be peaceful" His nervousness was starting to disappear with every sentence that came out of his mouth.
" Yeah, I do. I'm a junior. What about you?" He assumed that she did go there or why would she ask if he did. It would be awesome if she did go there, because he would have another friend or at least someone he thought of as a friend. If he was going to become her friend though, he would need to know more about her so he continued with the small talk. " So were you born here or did you move here from somewhere else. I think you can tell that I'm from Australia on my accent, right. I just moved here this year." He was trying to make her more comfortable, to make her understand that he wasn't a bad guy.
Back in Australia, he wasn't shy or anything and was even considered popular and out-going. He would spend most of his days on the beach surfing, playing volley-ball and chilling around a bonfire. He even had a girlfriend. When his parents divorced, it took a large toll on his social life and he often found himself isolated in his room. Benji would constantly blame himself for what happened and when Gerry began to verbally and physically abuse him, his confidence just disappeared. He almost never went out anymore, shamed of the bruises that he carried from his step-father's beatings. He ended his relationship, unable to focus on it properly. He needed to start over, one step at a time. At least he didn't carry any bruises at the moment. Lyrics: Check yes Juliet-We the Kings Clothes: This is what the dude is wearingNotes: ... HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) Talia was more relaxed now. Because he was speaking, and he wasn't stammering anymore, that made her feel calmer for some reason. So she smiled back at him, when he smiled at her. His smile was really adorable. She couldn't help but smile back. 'It is quiet here. I like it, though.' Truth was, Talia adored peace and quietness. One reason as to why was because she was quiet and shy herself, which made her prefer to be in habitats that suited her. Though she really did love being around confident, friendly, fun and loud people too. She had many friends that were like that and she could spend all day with them, listening to their mindless chatter.
'I'm a junior too.' she brought her attention back to the boy in front of her, smiling happily at him. She was glad he went to the school. That meant she could make a new friend in him, and he seemed as shy as she was. That meant they would be comfortable around each other. She was often awkward around others. Especially those louder and more confident than herself. 'No, I wasn't born here. I moved here, from Wales.' she laughed a little as he explained he was from Australia and nodded. 'I could tell, yes.' she chuckled, before smiling again. 'Do you like it here? I moved here a few years back. It's different from Wales. I took me a while to get used to the school and everything.' she grinned.
In Wales she'd been pretty popular, she guessed. She'd certainly had friends, and it hadn't mattered if you were shy or not. Nobody had been left out. Apart from the really weird kids, and Talia had always felt sorry for them. She missed Wales, because of the fact that she had fitted in there, and she had had friends, and it hadn't mattered that she was so shy and quiet. Being smart hadn't meant that she was weird, and being quiet had meant she had friends. Her friends had been a mixture of shy and confident, and still they had all stayed together and fitted in together. There'd been arguments, of course, but nobody had ever bullied another in the group because they were too quiet, or something. It was different here.

Check yes Juliet, are you with me? Rain is falling down on the sidewalk Benji cocked his head to the side and gave a small grin towards Talia. " Wales, huh? I've never been there but it always did sound nice. Do you miss it? I mean, I'm still kinda homesick. I guess living here will grow on me though." He really did miss the life he had there, but now he was thrust into a place where no one knew him and were too terrified of him to actually speak to him. He knew he was partly to blame, if he would actually go and speak to people he wouldn't have the problem. Oh well, what am I supposed to do?
So she was a junior. They were in the same grade and maybe even had some classes together. " Hey that's awesome. We're in the same grade. Maybe we even have some classes." He flashed her a sincere, childish smile and gave a little chuckle. " Yeah, I like it here, but i would still love to go back home. I'm sure I'll get used to it. I think the main reason why I'm so homesick is because I miss my friends."
Why did they move from Australia? It was a little fuzzy as to the actual reason but he knew that his mom and Gerry had decided by themselves that it would be "best" for the family. Benji knew that was bullshit and the move was actually best for Gerry. He was selfish and didn't care who he had to step on to get what he wanted. Benji was usually the one under his foot though. Benji knew some people had it worse then him, but why was he the constant target of Gerry's beatings. Oh well, he would rather it be him then Sam and even James, even if he did turn into a dick.

HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) Talia smiled at his words, laughing a little. 'Wales is alright, I guess. It's really different from here. It took me a while to get used to it, but I like it now.' she smiled, when he said he'd heard it was nice. She knew Wales got a few tourists, but she just didn't understand why. It was cold and wet, pratically constantly. She much preffered the warmer, dryer weather here. It was a nice change and she was actually glad they had moved, now. She hadn't liked it, at first, but now she loved it. It was a whole lot different to Wales, but it was nice different. She liked change, and this change was a good thing. She smiled at him, then laughed. 'I've always wanted to go to Australia...' she nodded.
She smiled at him broadly. Hopefully they'd have classes or something together. She'd like that. It would mean she had a friend, who she could talk to during classes. 'I hope so' she found herself saying, then blushed, hoping she didn't seem desperate for friends, or too forward or something. She nodded at his next words. 'Yeah, I miss Wales, too. I miss my friends.' she nodded again. She understood exactly what he meant. She had never been without friends in Wales, but here...she had basically no friends to speak of. Which was a dampner, really. One thing she didn't like about the change. She guessed she should make some friends now that she was here. If she didn't try, it was her fault too.
She glanced back at him, bringing her attention back to him, then smiled uncertainly. 'Do you want to go get an ice crema or something?' she shrugged a little, blushing. She didn't really want to stay in this bookstore any longer. 'Might as well tidy up first, though.' she giggled a little, then knelt down onto the floor, and started to stack the books that had fallen into piles. There were quite a lot of them on the floor, but she guessed it shouldn't take long. She started to stack them all up on top of each other, blowing the dust off a few of them as she did so. She reached under the nearest shelf to grab one that had fallen underneath.

Check yes Juliet, are you with me? Rain is falling down on the sidewalk He smiled. Moving was tough on anyone but at least she had settled, and he knew that he would too. If he made more friends, he was sure he would enjoy it better. He already was now that he had met Talia. "Yeah, Australia is great. The weather to die for and I know that I sound like a stereotypical Aussie but when I was there, I LOVED to surf. I need to go to the beach and get some in soon." He was almost on with drawl at the moment and the thought of being in the ocean again almost brought tingles to his spine.
He really hoped that they would be in the same class. He would have a friend to whisper to when the class was dull and a partner if they assigned them. He was getting ahead of himself though. He was sure that when they arrived at school, all the kids would be all over Talia and she would forget their little encounter in the bookstore. He may as well make this moment last. He smiled when he realized that he wasn't alone in the missing friends department. He and Talia had more in common then he realized.
"Sure, an ice cream sounds great." He chuckled when she said that they should tidy up. He totally forgot about the pile of books that he knocked down earlier. He quickly dropped to the floor and helped her pick up the books, embarrassed that he was making her help him clean up his mess. When they were finished finally, he went to the door and opened it for her, blushing a little when the old woman at the desk smiled at him. HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) Talia grinned, as she listened to him talk about Australia. She could tell he really missed it. She missed Wales a hell of a lot too, but the weather was one thing she could live without. 'I love hot weather.' she smiled at him, and then giggled. 'You surf? Maybe you could teach me?' she ran a hand through her hair, as she blushed a little, hoping he didn't think she was one of those girl who used a lot of people or something. She would love to spend time with him, and learn something new, so if he taught her how to surf she could kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. It would be good to get to know him, she knew, and then she would gain a close friend.
She sincerely hoped he would say yes. Friendship was something nobody could really live without, and he seemed friendly enough. She guessed he would be a good friend to anyone, and loyal too. She clasped her hands together in front of her, hoping they would be in some classes together at school. She couldn't imagine sitting through endless, boring lessons with nobody to talk to or mess around with. She knew she wouldn't have fun, or fit in if she had no friends here. She had a feeling this boy would be sort of popular, she she hoped he wouldn't forget that he'd ever met her. That'd make her kind of sad, so to speak. She hated the idea that someone could forget her, as if she was nothing. She knew she wasn't necessarily special, but still...
She broke into a smile, when he agreed to ice cream, glad he hadn't declined. She had nothing else to do today, so it seemed like a good idea to have ice cream with this guy. She laughed a little, when he got down to help her with the books. When they were all tidy she followed him towards to door, smiling at the little old lady behind the counter, who waved at her. She knew Talia because she came here often enough. She blushed a little, when he held the door open for her,and smiled wlaking out quickly. 'Thank you...' she murmured sweetly, waiting for him to follow her out of the bookstore.

Check yes Juliet, are you with me? Rain is falling down on the sidewalk " Yeah, hot weather is pretty awesome." He really did love the hot weather, and the weather here wasn't much different then there. " Sure thing. I would love to teach you. Just name a day and time and I'll come pick you up and we can go." At least she wanted to do stuff with him which made him excited. He not only gained another friend, but now he would have a reason to not return home right after school. When she thanked him, he blushed and quietly mumbled, "No problem." He wasn't really sure where the ice cream store was, he hoped that Talia did. " Umm... I haven't been here that long so I'm not actually quite sure where the ice cream place is. Not like he had any problem following her around. At least he wasn't alone in the creepy alley. Soon they were back in town square and it was just as busy as it was when he was there. Benji really hoped that he wouldn't lose Talia in the crowd, if he did he would probably never find her in the mass. He kept a close eye on her and even contemplated holding her hand to make sure he wouldn't lose her but he was pretty sure she wouldn't appreciate that. He looked around the mob and saw a number of pretty strange characters. There was a middle aged man on his cell phone, screaming about something to the person on the other side. He loved to people watch, their were a lot more "interesting" people then in Australia. He saw numerous people walk down streets with their dogs, the dogs with nicer clothes then Benji owned. He couldn't people watch for long however, if he did he was sure he would lose Talia. He stood on his tip toes, searching for an ice cream place that they could quickly go in to escape the crowds. HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) Talia smiled and nodded. 'Hot weather is way better than cold and wet weather.' she shuddered delicately, before shrugging. 'I'm not really used to the weather here, though. In Wales it was hardly ever as nice as this.' she glanced around, up at the sun, which was high up in the clear, cloudless blue sky. It was rather nice, and she could feel the sun blaring down against her pale skin. She didn't exactly tan easily, but she had been known to get a killer tan once in a while. She smiled at him toothily, when he agreed to teach her to surf. She giggled a little. 'Yay...you'll need to give me ya number, so I can ring.' she smiled, again, then started walking.
'I know where it is. I know where everything is.' she laughed, rolled her eyes at herself. b]'Actually, that last thing was a lie. The bookstore and the ice cream place are practically the only places I know around here.'
[/b] she laughed a little. At least one of them knew where they were going. She glanced around at the town square, watching the people hurry and push past, and she kept looking back to make sure Benji was following. She wrinked her nose cutely, as she walked, her brow furrowed in concentration. 'It's not too far from here.' she assured her new found friend, smiling sweetly, and broadly, as they walked. There were so many people there. Talia didn't really like crowds. She always felt...like they were closing in on her, when she was in a crowd. She guessed she was claustrophobic, but it wasn't in an extreme sense, so she was alright most of the time. As she glanced around, trying to find the green and pink of the ice cream parlour she knew so well, she observed the people as well. There were kids running around, with haggard looking mothers trying to catch them. Middle aged, business men and women running around and barking into cellphones. Old people, just trying to make their way through the crowds un harmed. She wrinkled her nose again, before her eyes finally set on the ice cream parlour, and she grabbed Benji's arm lightly, tugging him along gently with her, until they were outside the parlour and free of the crowds.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]
