Check yes Juliet, are you with me? Rain is falling down on the sidewalk " Yeah sure. Just remind me to write it down for you before I leave." They were already becoming friends and they hadn't even spent that much time together. He laughed when she explained that the only places she knew were the ice cream place and bookstore. He felt her hand wrap around his arm and before he knew it was being led around, unaware of where he was going to end up. Suddenly the two of them broke from the crowd and they were right outside the ice cream shop. They had actually made it through the large crow without getting injured and he quickly went towards the door to open it for her before stepping inside himself. Again he was greeted by the chime of the door when he stepped inside. It seemed pretty cozy. There were several booths all around that seemed to be big enough for four people comfortably. In the middle were tables seated for two, which is where he guessed the two of them would sit. Outside, there was a patio with large round tables and four chairs around them. He wouldn't even mind sitting out there. " It's pretty nice in here." He looked around a little more. There seemed to be a few couples grouped around, which made Benji feel a little nervous. Would people think that he was with Talia? He sort of was but not couple wise, more like two friends going out for ice cream. He walked up to counter and waited for his turn. Benji looked up at the menu and just couldn't decide what he should get. All the flavors looked good;strawberry, cookie dough, bubble gum, cotton candy, the types almost seemed endless. " What do you normally get?" Maybe he should just get what she got and hoped he liked it too. He pulled out his wallet and calmly waited for her to order her ice cream. They didn't seem that expensive and besides it was the gentleman thing to do. Lyrics: Check yes Juliet -We the Kings Clothes: This is what the dude is wearingNotes: ... Tagged: Talia :]

HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) Talia heard his words, and she nodded, a smile on her face. Getting a number was a sure sign that she was getting a new friend. Well, at least that was what she thought, anyway. She hated crowds, so she was glad when they were both finally out of them, and she wrinkled her nose slightly, before cocking her head to the side and glancing at the ice cream parlour. She really liked it here, partly because it was cosy and inviting, but mostly because they had some kick ass flavours of ice cream here. She felt her cheeks flush slightly, as he opened the door again for her, and she thanked him, before walking in and waiting for him to follow, her eyes raking the surrounding area she now found herself in.
It seemed that door bells and things were popular here, because another one chimed as they walked in, as it had done in the bookstore. She liked it, though. It just seemed inviting, to her at least. She came here often enough, though she didn't always buy ice cream, as they sold a variety of snacks, treats and drinks here. Sometimes she just came for a rest, and a cup of hot chocolate. A smile lit up her face, when Benji complimented the place- she was glad that he liked it. She had been unsure of whether he would, because most guys thought it was too girly or something, just because it was decorated with green and pink banners and things like that. 'I love it here...' she smiled up at him, nodding her head, her nose crinkling slightly, as she glanced around. Considering she had only ever come here alone before, she guessed they should sit on the tables in the middle, that seated two people.
She followed him to the counter, and stared down at the ice creams on display, her eyes lit up slightly. She chewed down hard on her bottom lip. She usually choose a different flavour every time she came here, because she wanted to test them all, until she found her favourite. She could be sure it definitely was her favourite then. She glanced up at him, and smiled. 'I choose a different one everytime I come here. The cookie dough one is nice, but I'm going to have...Rainbow Sherbet. Never had that one.' she nodded her head, then frowned and shook her head when he got his wallet out. 'Oh, no, no.' she cocked her head to the side. 'My treat.' she smiled up at him, and got her money out. 'What're you having?' she questioned, as she glanced down at the ice creams again. She knew what she was having, and she would stick with her choice.

Today was going better then he thought. He had hopefully gained a new friend and was actually looking forward to school on Monday. Sure, it was only Saturday now and he knew that sounded like a total tool because he was looking forward to it but the only reason was because he would have a friend, not because he actually enjoyed the classes. Bio was the only actual class that he enjoyed and the only class he was actually good at. He wasn't really sure why he enjoyed it so much but for whatever reason he loved to learn about the human body and people actually thought that he could become a doctor. The job never really appealed to him all that much and didnt really know what he wanted to do when he left high school.
All the flavors looked good but he decided upon strawberry. He liked the flavour and knew that he would like it. With the other flavors, he wasn't quite sure and even though she told him that cookie dough was good he went with the safe choice. That was really what his life was based on, always taking the safe choice instead of actually taking a chance. He really did need to get out of his shell and take some chances but Gerry really screwed him up. He was afraid to speak up, worried that it would offend someone in some way. " I think I'm gonna get strawberry." He gave her a cute little smile.
She told him to put his money away and that it was her treat. He had never actually met a girl who offered to pay. Usually when they saw him paying, they decided that they wanted half the store. She quickly gave her a five dollar bill to pay for his cone. " No it's OK. I can pay for my own. Thanks though. I really appreciate it. I think I'm gonna get strawberry" When the girl behind the counter handed him his cone, he quickly headed over to one of the middle tables. He pulled out her chair and then took his seat.

HOMECOMING, I'M COMING( m y s w e e t m i s t a k e s u m m e r s o v e r h o p e i t s n o t t o o l a t e) Talia disliked school most of the time, just because she was new here. But given the fact that she may have already made a friend, she had an idea that school wasn't going to be so tough on Monday. Which was a good thing. She was already behind with some of the lessons, because they didn't teach things like Spanish back home in Wales. She knew French, Welsh, English and German, because her parents liked to travel and she'd picked up the languages. She was bilingual, and rather good at picking up new languages, and she was learning Spanish easily enough, yet she was still behind. She didn't mind so much, though, as she liked learning new things. She cocked her head to the side, and then shook it. She'd never thought she'd see the day when she actually felt she would enjoy school. She laughed slightly, then looked down at the counter.
She waited for him to choose the flavour he wanted. She'd tried practically all of them here, so she knew what they tasted like, and most of them were really rather lovely. There were the odd one or two that she didn't like, but that was just because of her tastes. She disliked nuts, hinting that any recipes including nuts were off the menu for her. She nodded as he chose strawberry. It was nice, if a rather safe option. She hadn't marked him as one to take risks though. He seemed to reserved for that. She, herself, was rather quiet, but change was something she liked in her life. Change meant doing different things and meeting new people, and finding out what she liked in life. Change was just another way of finding herself, to her. She hadn't always been the risk taker, but she'd changed recently. The word change was popping up a lot in her life, these past months.
'Good choice.' she smiled and nodded at him, and then frowned slightly when he declined her offer of payment before laughing slightly. She should be used to it, by now, she guessed. Guys never let girls pay here. She watched him pay for his ice cream, then she paid for hers quickly, and smiled, thanking the lady behind the counter as she was handed her ice cream. She was actually starting to like life here in California, even if it was a lot different from back home. She'd had to make changes in her life- the whole family had- and she didn't mind at all. She followed him to one of the tables in the middle of the room, smiling slightly as he pulled her chair out, and then sat down himself. 'Thank you...' she nodded at him, and sat down, cocking her head to the side, before she licked her ice cream delicately. 'Have you lived here long?'
